Giving thanks MY way :)

I have read so many thankful status updates from several friends thru this month of November. It's really a great thing to pause and look at the blessings of our lives and give thanks. I've never participated in this tradition, not because I'm not grateful, but just because it's not my thing. I feel I will just bore everyone with my cheesy thankful list. But this year, I felt like giving thanks ...MY way.  Hope you enjoy. :)

I'm thankful for disposable diapers! I do not know how the generations of parents before me kept up with the "waste management".

I'm thankful for coffee mugs. Those little coffee cups from decades past just aren't enough.

I'm thankful to have a free baby sitter on-call at any time I'm in need. I call her, TV! Yeah that's right.

I'm thankful there are toys that do not require AA batteries (which are never included!).

I'm thankful for artificial flowers! I have to feed and water my kids. Isn't that enough?

I'm thankful for pre-sliced and diced onions!

I'm thankful for the leaf in our kitchen table. As our family grew, our table did too.

I'm thankful that it doesn't matter which sock goes on which foot.

I'm thankful for elastic waist pants. Especially when rushing to use the bathroom!

I'm thankful crayola makes washable art supplies.

I'm thankful for caller ID. I didn't just ignore your call, I swear, I was busy. ;)

I'm thankful for the mini-mini fridge in my SUV that keeps my liquor cold 24/7 for those emergency, high stress situations.

I'm thankful for my sense of humor, and to anyone reading my blog. ;)

I'm thankful for my intolerance to vanilla beans. It just means I get to have more chocolate instead.

I'm thankful for Little Caesar's $5 Hot & Ready Pizza.

I'm thankful for the different speeds on my bedroom floor fan. First setting, normal buzz sound to help me sleep. Second setting, boys or TV downstairs or something is just a lil too loud and I need to drown out the sound. Third setting, I don't want to hear ANYTHING.

I'm thankful for my creative writing. It entertains me.

I'm thankful for hot chili on a cold winter night.

I'm thankful for the mute button when commercials come on too loud.

I'm thankful for the ability to breathe in and out of my nose. You KNOW you don't miss this until its gone. Be thankful now!

I'm thankful for my sense of hearing. To hear my kids laughing, and my baby babble.

I'm thankful for the 5 second rule.  You know you are too! Even though its not a real thing.

I'm thankful for automatic flushing toilets, even though half the time they startle me and have enough force to suck down a small child.

I'm also thankful for those powerful hand driers. You know, the kind that make your skin "wave" in the forceful air. It's creepy, yet entertaining.

I'm thankful to have young children. They make an excellent excuse for why my house is so messy.

I'm thankful there are "only" 30 days in November.  I'm running out of ideas.

I'm thankful that our drier can substitute as an iron. You know you've done this too, don't lie!

I'm thankful for our dark colored couch. It has been thrown up on, peed on, pooped on, and spat up on. Yet, it looks just about as good as it did the day I first got it 10 years ago!

I'm thankful for having a "tee pee for the sprinkling wee wee". It's saved our house from smelling like a giant litter box.

30. I'm thankful for having no idea where I will put our Christmas tree this year. Our home is small, but its full of children, toys, and love.

Thank you for reading my blog!  Happy Thanksgiving!
